Toad Lickers Collective began as a reaction against places in the art world that felt uncomfortable, lacking diversity and a sense of community. As artists from working class backgrounds, we want the root of what we do to be the idea of telling stories, exploring alternative histories and bringing new voices to ongoing discussion.

Using things like tradition, folklore and urban myth as starting points, we attempt to describe and unpack pop culture and our developing digital landscape. Toad Lickers Collective is about de-mystifying our culture, breaking down ideological fantasies and moving forward into something more valuable to our communities that acknowledges the realities of modern life.
